Where to Fly

There are over 80 gliding clubs, spread throughout the UK. There will usually be one within an hours drive of wherever you are.

Each club has its own individual feel. Some are situated on flat land, some may be on the top of hills or nestling in the valleys. Some clubs are amongst the largest in the world, employing professional staff and offering flying 365 days a year. Others are small, member-run clubs providing basic facilities where everyone pitches in to help. All, however, have the same basic aim: to provide the facilities to allow you to fly. Whichever club you choose, you will be sure of a warm welcome and all the help you need to ensure that you can meet your own gliding
aims.
