Duty of Care

 

Although it is essential that you provide support for all members, the needs of Junior members differs from those of adults and this folder aims to help you with this.  Here you will find documents that will enable you to set and manage expectations of those supporting juniors, both at the club and in their homes, and to help everyone to understand what needs to happen at the club in various scenarios. Please read through these documents to make sure you are familiar with the various roles, and to make sure that you are confident that you club can cater to the needs of Junior members.  Many of these documents have originated from Clubmark Accreditation and have adapted for use

in gliding and to support the ‘BGA JGC minimum requirements’. Some, such as the incident forms and volunteer agreement, form part of best practice in relation to the Child Protection Policy and Procedures.
