Junior Gliding Centre Resource Pack

The aim of this resource pack is to assist you in setting up a Junior Gliding Centre by providing the information and support that you need. There are two primary reference documents:

BGA JGC Min Requirements (pdf)

JGC Checklist

This pack is then divided into five sections:

Becoming a JGC

Duty of Care

Press, PR and Marketing

Supporting Junior Pilots

Working with the ACO

Please study these documents carefully, as they should provide everything you need to become a JGC. Each folder contains a 'Please Read' document. This file explains in more detail what is contained in that particular folder and how you should use it. We have aimed to make this pack as user friendly as possible, but please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions. We know that every individual club is different and has different needs, but we are confident that this resource pack will provide an excellent basis for you. You may also like to refer to the BGA’s ‘Policies and Guidelines’ resource pack which can be found on the BGA

We are very excited about the prospect of recruiting a large number of new Juniors into the sport, as to keep clubs active, we know that the number of Juniors regularly involved in gliding needs to increase. That said, we are intent in ensuring the approach and expansion is sustainable and complimentary to your club structure. We are confident that this will happen with the commitment and enthusiasm of clubs across the country.

We look forward to working with you.
